The Sarvodaya Educational Trust was founded on November 2, 1995, with the aim of supporting the underprivileged and vulnerable sections of society. Today, the trust operates several institutions in the fields of medicine, paramedicine, and law. Recognizing the vital role of healthcare, the trust established schools and colleges of nursing to prepare qualified nurses to meet health demands. Sarvodaya College of Nursing was launched in 1995 to enhance nursing education, which is essential for effective healthcare delivery and promotes research in the nursing field. Initially offering a Diploma in Nursing, the institution expanded its offerings over the years, introducing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc) in 1998, a Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) in 2000, and an MSc in Nursing in 2002. The college is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and is recognized by both the Indian Nursing Council and the Karnataka Nursing Council. Sarvodaya College of Nursing is committed to training nurses from all states of India and abroad, equipping them to meet the challenges of the nursing profession. To ensure high-quality healthcare, nurses must stay updated with the latest advancements in the field, enabling them to collaborate effectively with other health professionals.
